Find out more about the Master Financial Modeler (MFM) qualification from the Financial Modeling Institute (FMI).
The Financial Modeling Institute (FMI) was founded in 2017 with the goal of “Promoting awareness, excellence and discipline in Financial Modeling through world-class accreditation programs”.
The Financial Modeling Institute (FMI) focuses on assessment, leaving the delivery of training to independent and proven partners like us at Full Stack Modeller.
"MFMs are recognized as true masters of financial modeling. They advocate for and contribute to the financial modeling discipline. They are role models for others on their financial modeling journeys."
MFMs are global ambassadors who support FMI's mission to elevate the profession of financial modeling.
In order to become a Master Financial Modeller (MFM) you will need: at least ten years of experience as a financial modeller; a high level of technical ability (for example FMI CFM award); to demonstrate leadership in the field of financial modelling; and have made a significant contribution to elevate and professionalise the field of financial modelling.
The MFM accreditation is awarded annually via an application process rather than an exam.
Applications must be submitted by the end of December each year. Applications are reviewed by the MFM Adjudication Committee, comprised of a group of financial modelers from around the world. The MFM accreditation is awarded in April/May.
